AC / DC - BACK IN BLACK, 2003 reissue (of 1980 classic) Columbia 100% Sealed LP, $89 + S / H
2003 reissue (remastered) Columbia Records LP pressing, 100% Still Sealed, MINT / MINT, unplayed. NO seam splits, NO cut-out markings, NO ring-wear, "embossed lettering" on front cover. One of the Top Selling Albums in the History of The World!! Must be in the Top 5 All Time, 40 or 50 MILLION copies sold or given to friends. AND it ROCKS from start to finish! I bought my 1st copy when it 1st came out. I went to the El Centro Mall between Pharr & McAllen, Texas one day in 1980, bought me a new turntable in a place called The Sound (something, I've forgotten the full name of the store, but they sold audio equipment, and had LPs as a side business), so anyway, I bought me my new turntable & 2 LPs, "Back in Black" by AC/DC & TALKING HEADS '77. Their covers were COOL! Bright PINK & Jet BLACK! And both LPs sounded GREAT!!!!!! Especially on my NEW turntable. I was drinking beer in green bottles in those days, I thought it made me look sophisticated. The German beer was good though, if more expensive.
Anyway, back to "Back in Black", the only other Hard Rock album I ever played more was probably "Houses of The Holy" by LED ZEPPELIN. AC/DC really scored BIG with their NEW lead singer Brian Johnson, What A SCREAMER!!!!!! The band wasn't bad, either. Playing ROCK-N-ROLL to break a bone! They grow up hard in Australia. Just ask Crocodile Dundee!
I really don't remember Bon Scott that much. I really don't have ANY OTHER AC/DC album but this one! What could possibly TOP it?! I wore out my original copy for 35 years or so, & then I SOLD it for much more than I originally PAID for it, EVEN AFTER having enjoyed it for FREE basically for all those years. "A SOUND investment" I would say.
Nah, this will do. TURN IT UP! & LET IT ROCK!!

Various Artists ~ 1st BOOM Pop Festival 1972, Yugoslavia, 1972 original Helcon 2LP, $258 + S / H
Recorded live April 21 & 22, 1972 in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, the 1st BOOM Pop Festival is a wonderful live collection of 1970s mostly Prog-Rock & Blues Rock bands from Eastern Europe. Some of them are quite Good, and in fact ALL of them are certainly "interesting". These eastern European rock bands sound a bit "more serious" than the American or UK bands! 1972 original made in Yugoslavia Halcon Records 2LP pressing #003, Gatefold cover VG only, heavy wear all around, NO seam or spine splits, NO cut-out markings, and some ring-wear / shelf wear, vinyl is VG also, several light to mid-level scratches which makes it play VG+, with some clicks & pops here & there. Please note: that the band "Nirvana" is NOT the American Seattle band with the SAME name, those American guys were probably NOT even born yet in 1972!

HEAD EAST - FLAT AS A PANCAKE, 1975 original (reissue) A&M LP, N / A
I bought this LP within 1 minute of stepping inside the Shertz, Texas Record Convention in 2015 or so, NEVER having listened to the band (or so I thought), bought it because of the front cover (I must have been hungry that morning!) NEVER listened to these guys (or so I thought). Apparently, there were some great Rock anthems on this LP that I certainly remember from listening to the radio (in my youth), and this was a pretty good album from start to finish. Actually a Great Album!! So I went on to pick up most of their LPs. Bought by a collector in Arlington, Virginia (USA). Great Mid-West Rockers!!

The Kinks never did anything low budget, they did everything rich, expansive and British Empire funny at times, but never measured & low budget. In the late 1970s, inflation & gasoline prices were eating our lunch (just like today), & so The Kinks brilliantly came out with this statement of the workingman's woes wrapped in rock-n-roll & humor! For that, we thank them, still.
