The Who ~ "The Power Of Hoodoo", 1989 original Berkeley 4LP, $2,500 + S / H
1989 original made in USA Berkeley Records 4LP pressing, cover M-, NO seam or spine splits, NO cut-out markings, NO ring-wear, shelf wear on back cover, the BIG words "The Who" on front cover are gold colored, but my scanner couldn't duplicate the color for some reason (?), all vinyl M-, NO scratches, plays excellent. Sides 1 & 2 recorded live at The Railway Hotel, Wealdstone (just Northwest of central London), UK, on October 20, 1964 while still The High Numbers. In early November 1964 (after the recordings on the 1st 2 sides) they changed their name again back to The Who and took up a 16-week residency at The Marquee Club starting November 24, 1964 through March 1965. Yeah, the makers of this wonderful set didn't do their homework in the title. In June 1963 The Who were known as The Detours, and Keith Moon was still not in the band until April 1964 (& that is Keith Moon beating the skins on the 1st 2 sides!) The other sides have material from the Who's Zoo 2LP + an additional 2 sides from other sources covering the years 1964 - 1971. Still, those first two sides are "priceless", catching the embryonic Who in action in October 1964! 58 years ago!!!
