Jimi Hendrix ~ Woodstock Nation, 1989 original Italy pressing Wild Bird 2CD, $200 + S / H
1989 original made in Italy Wild Bird Records 2CD pressing #WBR 89090 1 / 2, probably the earliest CD version of Jimi's full set at the Woodstock Festival, and probably the 1st release on the Wild Bird imprint! Apparently the Italians were a little excited about their 1st release that they left the speed just a tad "high" making Jimi sound like "a munchkin", although the instrument parts don't sound that much "off" the official recordings. The historical importance is "priceless" since it includes the often left-out songs "Mastermind" & "Gypsy Woman / I'm Aware Of Love" with lead vocals by guitarist Larry Lee (and lead guitar playing by Jimi). Includes a 12-page booklet w colorful Woodstock pictures. See the guy in purple T-shirt just behind the conga player, looks like Dino Valente of Quicksilver Messenger Service, a great psychedelic band who surprisingly did not play Woodstock.
