Esteban Jordan Y Su CIA Supermex ~ La Piriswiris, 1972 original Falcon Records LP, $500 + S / H
1972 original 1st press Falcon Records LP pressing #FLP-4021, cover VG++, NO seam splits, NO cut-out markings, NO ring-wear, vinyl M-, NO scratches, plays excellent. In the summer of 1973 (when I was only 16 years old!) I had the unforgetable pleasure of meeting & hanging out with Esteban Jordan via his step-daughter whom "Kato" (a school friend of mine since grade school, not The Green Hornet side-kick) & I became friends with at the McAllen Public Swimming Pool that summer (my 1st summer spent in the Rio Grande Valley, since EVERY summer before that, stretching back to the late 1950s, and even the next year 1974, our last, was spent in Michigan & Ohio, working the sugar beet / pinto bean & tomatoe fields as migrant workers). When I went to visit her to take her to the Drive-In movies, well to make the story short, "El Parche" met me in the front yard, and after Esteban "checked me out" for about 30 minutes of "chit chat", I had to take Mrs. Esteban Jordan, several of Esteban's little sons, even Esteban's own younger brother "Silver" who played timbales in Jordan's band! (He's probably on this LP too!) Anyway, good thing my older brother had "loaned me a station wagon", remember those? So we all crammed into the wagon & went to the movies, we all had a good time at the Drive-In! Important thing is the next time I went to their house which was on South 29th Street in McAllen, Texas, Silver had probably told "El Parche" that I was "a cool dude" and so they took me to their recording studio on South 23rd Street, where I heard them play & practice for many, many hours into the night! So before my junior year in high school began, I had a front row seat to "the Jimi Hendrix of the accordion" playing just a few feet from me with his whole band!!! I can still remember him play "El Alacran" several times that night to this day!

STEVE JORDAN ~ THE RETURN OF EL PARCHE, 1988 original West Germany press Zensor LP, $250 + S / H
1988 original made in the West Germany Zensor Records LP pressing #ZS 55, cover M-, NO seam or spine splits, NO cut-out markings, NO ring-wear, vinyl M-, NO scratches, plays excellent. A "Best of", if you will, made in West Germany when The Berlin Wall was still "up", but they were digging Esteban Jordan & his accordion groove, even there! A nice historical "bio" of Esteban is on the back cover.

Steve Jordan ~ El Corrido De JHONNY EL PACHUCO, 1987 original Arhoolie 100% Sealed LP, $250 + S / H
1987 original Arhoolie Records LP pressing #3023, 100% Still Sealed, MINT / MINT, unplayed. NO cut-out markings, NO seam splits, NO ring-wear. According to Arhoolie Records head honcho Chris Strachwitz, this was originally released on RyN Records (out of McAllen, Texas) circa 1971. They "broke the mold" after Esteban Jordan was formed & released into the world, a true original! Always a trip! Dig it!!
